Some Feedback Highlights
"October’s Nexus Day at Sheffield Energy Hub shows what’s possible when communities and energy experts can come together with a shared purpose. Seeing silos crumble and collaborations spark across sectors gives real confidence that Sheffield — and places like it — can lead the way in transforming local energy from an aspiration to a working reality. Our Community Energy Team is dedicated to supporting this momentum, helping connect people, projects, ideas and practical support so local energy becomes a core part of all our future." Liam Granville, Northern Powergrid Community Energy Team Wendy Litherland (Sustainability Learning CIC) praised the event’s “passionate and forward‑thinking group of organisations” and the “multigenerational learning ethos,” proposing future collaborations for the 2027 Sustainability Learning Conference. David Saunders called it “an interesting, useful and instructive day - a refreshing precedent”. Several civic partners, including Cllr Ben Miskell noted that the Energy Hub has quickly become “a nexus to connect the dots” and a driver for local resilience.
